Who am I?
Hey there! My name is Michael! I began Photography in early 2021, bringing my camera on a 20-day road trip hiking and camping around the whole western side of the US with my dog Finn. It was on this trip that I learned about the different settings and began falling in love with the hobby. I made a lot of mistakes initially but it only taught me more. After Finns passing, I wanted to help families experience the love that I felt so I decided to help at the animal Shelters using the skill Finn helped me build
FAQ
What got you into Shelter Photography?
As I was learning how to use my camera and getting into the nitty-gritty of posing and framing subjects, my only model was my dog Finnley. After his passing, I wanted to help build families that encased the love that I had felt with my dog. I noticed a lot of Shelters/Rescues have blurry or sad pictures through fences, so I figured "What better way than to go to an Animal Shelter and use the skill that Finn helped me build?"
How did you learn how to use your Camera?
Youtube. SOOO MUCH YOUTUBE. that and constantly asked family members or friends to do a session with them so I could practice. They got a free photoshoot and I got to learn.
How do I get the Studio Photoshoot for my Dog at home?
Good news! I come to you! as long as it's within a certain distance from Clovis NM, ill drive out and set up the mobile studio I use at the shelter. all I need is a spot indoors with a hard floor such as concrete roughly the size of a car. typically a cleared-out garage works!
